DescriptionLorenzo used Copic markers and inks to create this one of a kind piece. He states, "The quality of the paper that Coffin Comics uses for its blanks is simply outstanding!"The size of the artwork is the standard comic book size 10 and 1/18 inches by 6 and 5/8 inches (25.7cm x 16.8cm) Was graded and encased currently as a 9.4 CGC Signature Series Signed and Sketch Lorenzo Sperlonga on 4/13/2020. I don't buy too many sketchcovers and actually forgot I purchased this off Ebay a year ago, but as you can see I love Lorenzo and I recently learned from Coffin Comics LEGAL they don't allow "Fan Art" of their characters to be created and sold from artists not affiliated, so get what you can before they email you. Ha! Personal experience. Lorenzo Sperlonga obviously does covers for Coffin Comics. Grateful I have some! Lorenzo also published the piece in his artbooks. The current scan is from artist, but it is not censored as much in life. Detail is incredible. Social/Sharing |

Not a wise strategy as they are making sure no one is going to buy blank covers of their comics and it will also suppress Lady Death's popularity by going after fans and artists that won't want to work with them in the future. Sperlonga does a great Christina Applegate here. Good thing Applegate's lawyers aren't actively trying to get money out of artists.

Agree! What a collector privately commissions is private, but I copy and quote, "The issue arises when someone sells the copyrighted IP- the IP of Coffin Comics and Lady Death cannot just be sold outright, and not from an artist that Coffin Comics has no relationship with."
My back and forth was over one original painting commission from an unaffiliated artist, nothing more. You bring up a good point...Coffin Comics sells blank covers, what do they think artists do with them? OG Fan art is a big part of the comic industry!
