Description

All right, I'll admit it: This is one of the goofier Common Elements concepts I've devised -- two heroes who share names with Santa's four-hooved helpers. It's also one of the most fun.

The idea of pairing the Golden Age Comet (who made a brief reappearance during the mid-'60s, in Archie Comics' MIGHTY CRUSADERS series) with the Vixen of SUICIDE SQUAD and JLA fame, popped into my fevered brain a year ago during the holidays. But it wasn't until fellow collector Damon Owens put me in touch with former SQUAD penciler Luke McDonnell that I finally had the perfect artist for the project. Luke turned in a doozy, if I may say so -- a gripping, action-packed scenario that even old Kris Kringle himself would approve.

This is Common Elements #43.

That is really super. Luke is doing amazing commission work these days, as is clearly in evidence here.
