DescriptionDetective Comics # 1013 October 2019"Cold Dark World: Thawed!" pg 19 Inks over printed pencils in blue on 11 x 17 art board Pencils: Doug Mahnke Inks: Keith Champagne (Signed lower left) Writer: Peter Tomasi Mr. Freeze is so close to reviving Nora but Batman can’t let it happen. Mr. Freeze has never been more vicious or more deadly. There’s nothing more dangerous than a desperate man with a cold gun and Gotham City is going to learn that firsthand! For an issue that's effectively a prolonged chase scene, there's a lot of great character work here. Freeze is tragically grotesque in his actions, carelessly experimenting on innocent women in the hope of restoring his wife. Batman, meanwhile, proves that he has the right tool for any job, and adds a sense of welcome goofiness to what could have been a dour narrative. Factor in some wonderful dialogue and a pitch-perfect team if artists and this is another winner from Detective Comics. This issue takes place prior to Batman # 77. On this page Batman & Alfred, in a Flash mask have taken Mr. Freeze's victims back to the Batcave and attempt to revive them. Social/Sharing |

Great image! It's the inking that gives it the cavernous feel and the bare bones tech look that has to somehow be comptible with Mr. Freeze's systems.
