Description

This oversized (14" by 19") piece is the original for one (and by an order of magnitude, the best) of a portfolio of prints done in 1987 by Thomas A. Tenney and Sam De La Rosa (I don't know who did what and arbitrarily designated who penciled and inked here), apparently with John Carbonaro's (the holder of the Thunder or T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents' copyright) authority. It depicts a version of Menthor who differs from any version I'm aware of, a fairly butch female in thigh-high boots and a cape.

Neither the seller nor I knew what this was when I bought it. I have it displayed with my classic pieces, it being a handsome classic-looking piece with only the Menthor helmet and picture to give away its comic book roots.
