Description

Batman and Nightwing are tracking the Red Hood's trail!

After defeating an AMAZO unit activated by the Red Hood at Black Mask's weapons stash, the original Dynamic Duo is back in pursuit of the Red Hood. Returning to the scene of the crime, Batman detects a radiation trail in a place where a storage bin was recently removed. The bat-radiation scanner detects KRYPTONITE!

Batman: Under the Hood is my first exposure to the great Doug Mahnke and is one of my all time favorite storylines. This is officially the oldest Batman page in the studio.

Plenty to inspire creativity and the pursuit of perfection when this piece is around. You can study the Mahnke and Nguyen storytelling and how they build drama as well as how they execute camera angles and sleek shadows.

Nice page from a great issue! I really enjoyed the Under The Red Hood storyline/run by Mahnke and Winick as well when I first read it. Been awhile but I'm sure it still holds up today!
