DescriptionAbsolutely breathtaking prime period painting by Dorian Cleavenger I have had in my collection, but yet to post as I was selling several few a couple years ago. I do have a couple still for sale.Daughters of Darkness 3 SQP Cover. (The main image is the scan online. I will photograph to post). Signed and dated lower middle A very detailed fine art fantasy acrylic painting 20" x 30 on board in 1998. It is a very dark subject matter, but Seraphim are the highest of the angels in the hierarchy. Seraphim are angels described in the Book of Isaiah as fiery, six-winged beings who continually worship God and surround His throne, proclaiming "Holy, holy, holy". They are the highest order of angels in religious angelology, associated with light, love, and divine fire. The term "seraphim" itself means "burning ones," reflecting their nature. I have several Dorian and I sold several a few years ago to CAF members, this one is framed and hard to photograph, but I will try to add more photos as its gorgeous framed. It is truly a masterpiece and would be hard to part with, but I have so much art now off my walls I might consider the right offer. This is one of the best I have been fortunate enough to own as far as detail. There are definitely pieces Dorian put his soul into during this period. The lighting on this piece is insane. I understand there is an inconsistency, during his teaching period with pieces coming up for sale he created while teaching art classes. So much in recently in fact, it may have devalued his art for those not realizing the difference in this fine art. It seems obvious to me as a collector, but to people who simply see multiple auctions so low, it can be confusing. I can assure you my collection and pieces like this are of the highest caliber for those who have never seen in person. This is the first time it has resurfaced since its original sale. A first on CAF. If you have questions about Dorian I can try and answer, but he is still accessible online too. Enjoy. I will work on getting my last few Dorian's up before years end. Exquisitey designed with our attention brought right to her elbow tips red from dripping blood! The lighting is searingly good to leave an impression.
