Every year, one of my artists will create art for our Felix Comic Art holiday card. In 2020, it was Nick Dragotta's turn. A deceptively simple piece that's just perfect.

I've spent Christmas with Confederates

Christmas East of West Xiaolain
Christmas with Cheveyo and Le Vey
And I always thought it couldn't matter less
But lately, come Dragotta
I confess

I want the piece full of Crow and tinsel
I want the Death on the red front War
I want the Wolf in the yard
Each sentimental card drippin' splatter on the floor
I want full of plywood The Ranger
I want a Mao full of hand drawn sleighs
All those Christmas clichés
I want the Hu with all the gravy
The Hu that only ever made
I want the gulp and the tear the comments that I hear
Archi Chamberlain bein' played
I want a lake full of Conquest haters
I want the Famine with sugar glaze
All those Christmas clichés
