DescriptionI loved the satellite era JLA back in the day. Throw in a team-up with the JSA and Freedom Fighters fighting Nazi's on Earth-X ... well, I had to go for this page when it came available. Certainly hits a nostalgia chord, but really appreciate Dillin/Giordano's artistic execution and dramatic staging of this title page. This page is from the two-part conclusion, titled "Thirteen Against The Earth!", featuring: Green Arrow, Red Tornado, Doctor Fate, Batman, Sandman, Elongated Man, Superman, Uncle Sam, Doll Man, the Human Bomb, the Ray, Phantom Lady, and Black Condor! Classic storyline! A DC great with the triple crossover event made even more sensational with the lasting impact of JSA, Freedom Fighters, and Earth X!

Absolutely awesome and cool title splash! A couple years before my starting comic collecting but it paved the way for the Freedom Fighters comic a few years later of which I was present and on board. Great times!

Definitely one of the more memorable of the JLA/JSA annual crossovers because of the addition of the Quality Comics characters. Dick Dillin was a seriously under-rated dependable stalwart for DC. Not sure if he missed a single issue of JLA from when he started to when George Peréz took over and this opening splash is extra special with peak-era Dick Giordano inks. It brings back some memories. Thank you for posting.

I loved the JSA crossovers, and to have the Freedom Fighters too is a real treat. Dillin's composition is superb, and Giordan's inks are just stunning. Congrats!

I love the page. It's one of Dick Dillin's coolest splashes. But I have one question, there are only 12 heroes shown, and twelve in your list. Who is the thirteenth hero?

Ha, right you are Steven! How could I forget one of my favorite DC characters, the Golden Age Sandman? Description corrected.

Wow, this goes up to 11 on my nostalgia meter. But, more, it's a great and memorable image by Dillin with excellent inking by Giordano, so, cheers!

I love this page! I remember buying this off the spinner rack. I was so happy DC decided to revive the Quality comics heroes. Lou Fine's golden age Ray was always one of my favorites. Congratulations!
