When I saw the beautifully depicted image of a reclining Morgan Le Fay in that oversized first panel in the weekly Heritage Auction, I knew I was interested. Winning it was a pleasant surprise. And for action-only oriented fans the last panel features part of an ongoing battle between Namor and Black Belt.

Paul Ryan and Danny Bulanadi Fantastic Four #402 "Atlantis Rising" Chapter Five Story Page 19
Original Art (Marvel, 1995). In the fifth part of the "Atlantis Rising" crossover, Morgan Le Fay conspires with Lord Arcadius of the Inhumans' Genetic Council, informing him that she has obtained the Inhuman city of Attilan, which had been shrunken for its protection. In the final panel, a battle between Namor and Black Bolt erupts into public view.
Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Marvel Comics Bristol board with a 10" x 15.25" image area. There are five missing text paste-ups: three in Panel 1 ("Meanwhile...", "Good of you to come, my friend!", and "I have news you may find of interest..."), one in Panel 3 ("They are most succulent."), and one in Panel 4 ("Where's Captain Britain when we need him?"). Light residue stains where the paste-ups were removed, and the "puh-pwunk!" paste-up in the final panel has discolored. Taped page number paste-up and light corner and edge wear. In Good condition.
