Great piece by the master fantasy illustrator! Kaluta creates a tension and peril for hunter and prey. The smaller size encloses this even more making a conflict inevitable.

Gorgeous Kaluta piece. The yin/yang feel of the swirling bodies, arcing lines, and light/dark balance really adds a delicious spice to the piece (and beautifully telegraphs which is the protagonist and antagonist). BRILLIANT Kaluta high-fantasy details in the bearded lizard's scales, to say nothing of the essential Kaluta ornamentation (bead necklace, bell, branch...). Superb work by an undisputed master. Another slam dunk winner, Justin!
