DescriptionI asked Bruce to finish out a very loose, unfinished drawing by Bernie Wrightson. Bruce added a tree from another Bernie illustration, and filled out the rest as best as he could! Pen, brush and ink on 13 X 20" Bristol board.The collaboration between Wrightson and McCorkindale is a wonderful example of something that I believe neither artist would have been able to accomplish without the other. I doubt Bernie would have used as much in the way of blacks in his original composition, but they were absolutely essential once Bernie's tree from the secondary source was referenced. Bernie's original remain untouched. Bruce worked from a scan of the pencils in my collection. You can see the sources in the "additional images." Social/Sharing |

That's crazy good! There's like 5 different kinds of inking styles in this.
