Description

I’ve always been drawn to pieces that read clearly at a glance, and this Shazam pinup by Dean Kotz did that immediately for me. The composition is clean and confident, with strong use of black areas and lightning to frame the figure without overwhelming it.

It’s a straightforward, powerful take on the character — heroic, balanced, and very legible even at a distance. Not everything in a collection needs to be loud or monumental; sometimes it’s the clarity and control that make a piece worth living with.

I purchased this piece directly from Dean, and it’s one of those works that simply clicked the moment I saw it — which is why it’s here.

Yup. When I saw it I had to have it. I don't typically buy random pinups (except when I first started collecting OA) or unless they're amazing deals, but I love anything Shazam related and this one was very nicely done.
