DescriptionIt was 85 years on December 20 that the first issue of Captain America Comics was released with a punch heard around the world. Captain America has been an inspiration for freedom-loving people ever since. Tom Grummett rendered this superb battle scene between the Sentinel of Liberty and his nemesis Baron Zemo in 2007 at a convention in Toronto just after he had finished his stint on Thunderbolts, so he had a really strong grasp on Zemo. And his Cap just seemed very fluid and athletic as if he were going to jump off the page to take on his enemy. This was my second of four sketches by Grummett and it was such a joy to spend time and chat with him as he was drawing the figures. I have already posted two of his sketches and an looking forward to posting his last sketch in the coming weeks.Social/Sharing |

Grummett on Marvel characters should be more requested with his runs on Thunderbolts and X-Men showcasing his skills for ther Marvelo loyalists!
