DescriptionWell how cool is this on so many levels… we will start with the not as cool.. it isn’t original art … but it is what was used to publish the cover… it is Walt simonson .. and inferno and would probably have cost 50x what I paid if Walt ever sold some art! These mechanical covers are also pretty cool because there is usually a story to go with it.. sometimes the art was lost or elements needed to be moved (that’s my guess on this one) or some other interesting fact. Next time I see Walt at a show I’ll ask.. but until then it looks awesome and will look great in a frame eventually. Another collector to collector sale via Cal Thanks Miki!Social/Sharing |

Well, it looks beautiful, with lovely detail of Walt's trademark shading. It's a great thing to have. Nice pick-up!

Nice CAL pickup from Miki (and he was offering it for a reasonable price for what it is), even without any original art it's a production element of the published cover and a cool collectible in it's own way!

Pretty cool to see this part of his process, it's what was collected together to go to publishing, on a really great inferno issue. Congrats on this find and addition.

I'm not surprised this cover would be done this way with so many things breaking into the tradedress that had to be considered. Complete with original staining!

This is so cool! I want it to be an original, but this is such a great cover concept. The fact that it was used to publish makes for an interesting little piece of comic history.
