Description

Having given up two this year in a trade, I could not end the year without a Perez Titans page.

This one checks a lot of boxes. All the Titans present here except Starfire, who is still recovering from the murder of her rat-bastard, Hive-agent boyfriend, Franklin Crandall. Plus you got the Tower!

And poor Frances Kane. First they spell her name wrong for the entire issue (she came back in #27 as “Frances.”) Then they strap her to a table to find out why she is possessed.

This triggers a Magneto-like freak-out in full-blown Perez chaos. Then her power inexplicably goes away and the team shrugs, totally missing the fact that she is being controlled by Dr. Polaris, who writer Marv Wolfman banished to a magnetic dimension in a Green Lantern issue he wrote (always kind of a weird tie-in).

Great Perez tech! You know you're in the King Kirby zone of greatness when your type of tech is instantly recognized. It is her first appearance, so they did a "Peter Palmer".
