CRAZY. this one was at a bar in SDCC 2010. when the evening started the walls were covered so that they wouldn't get paint on them. there was a band and i think Jim also dj'ed. maybe it was his brother. maybe i'm completely wrong. as the night went on the wall protection was gone. people had paint all over them. it was a war zone. these panels were huge and all of them had at least two artists on them. i recall Jim Mahfood, Jason Alexander, Scott Morse, Mike Huddleston, Dave Crosland, Ming Doyle. i'm sure others. maybe david mack, he was a common face at these things too. i remember some fan got paint in his eye and was complaining. i remember the bar threw a shit fit b/c somehow the bathroom walls and lights got painted on. it was just a crazy night. i fell in love with this piece as they were creating it right before our eyes. i have a bunch of other ones from Jim's parties but all of the other ones had been purchased at shows where i could get them home somehow (except for the DOOM from APE but that one made it to me eventually). this was the first one painted on wood too. anyways, i bought it, found a cab to get it back to the hotel w/ me, had to carry it a few blocks b/c the cab took a wrong turn and ended up on the other side of the baseball field, then found a vendor from houston who drove it back for me. :D success! thank you bedrock again. anyways, if the link doesn't work i can upload more pictures here of the night. i really hope someone starts up these live parties again as they were always a blast.
