DescriptionRip Kirby, January 24, 1950 Raymond’s sophisticated illustration style shines throughout this strip – from the ominous shadow-filled figures of the opening panel, to the refined, realistic renderings of two lovely yet anxious women in the second, and the rising desperation captured in the final scene. This installment from “Borrowed Trouble” balances cinematic drama with artistic brilliance. Social/Sharing |

Wonderful faces. The side of the telephone box in the third panel seems to be making the panel border, adding to a cinematic sense of storytelling.
