Dennis Cobb � Agente SS018 � un fumetto di spionaggio ideato negli anni Sessanta, nel pieno periodo di successo del genere (James Bond, primo film 1962), scritto da Max Bunker e disegnato da Magnus, qui alla loro terza collaborazione dopo Kriminal e Satanik.
Il volume 13, intitolato �Destinazione Polo� (maggio 1966), ha la particolarit� di svolgersi dall�inizio alla fine nella notte polare infinita: l�ambiente ideale per Magnus, che pu� portare all�estremo la sua fascinazione per il nero.

In primo piano, con una tazza in mano, l�agente segreto. Sul fondo, proiettata sul muro, un�ombra, anch�essa con una tazza: a un primo sguardo sembra la sua ombra, ma a uno sguardo pi� attento � quella di una donna, che deve trovarsi a sinistra, fuori dall�inquadratura. Perch� dalla tazza dell�ombra sale del fumo, mentre da quella reale no?
Mentre all�interno (nella luce, al caldo) si discute dell�assoluta affidabilit� delle misure di protezione, all�esterno (nel buio, nel freddo) la sciagura si sta gi� insinuando�

Dennis Cobb � Agent SS018 is a spy comic created in the 1960s, during the genre�s heyday (James Bond, first film 1962), written by Max Bunker and drawn by Magnus, here in their third collaboration after Kriminal and Satanik.
Volume 13, entitled �Destination: the Pole� (May 1966), has the distinctive feature of taking place from beginning to end in the endless polar night�an ideal setting for Magnus, who can push his fascination with black to its absolute extreme.

In the foreground, with a cup in his hand, the secret agent. On the wall behind him, a shadow, also holding a cup�at first glance his own shadow, but on closer inspection that of a woman, who must be standing to the left, outside the frame. Why is steam rising from the shadow�s cup, but not from the real one?
While inside (in the light, the warmth) people are talking about how absolutely reliable the protection is, outside (in the dark, the cold) disaster is already creeping closer�
