Description

For Simon's TBD Women of the Ages publication. Queen Artemisia of Caria was depicted in Frank Miller's 300 sequel; 300: Rise of an Empire as the naval commander of the Persian fleet. This is Simon's take on this legendary historical figure. The new queen of my collection.

Very refined painted style by Biz! The metalwork is like he forged them himself with shapes and dents included.

Probably my favourite of the Women from the Ages series. Great to see a real quality piece up on the Bisley page (not that I have anything against his convention sketches or anything!).
