Story page 22

The Time Trapper gloats in his lair plotting his next move on the Legionnaires.
Last page of this Cosmic Boy mini series which will lead to the Death of Superboy saga.

In the last panel there are statues of Supergirl, Superboy and Krypto.
In the published page, the image of Supergirl was statted out.
This was Post Crisis, not only did Supergirl no longer not exist, but she never existed, so the statue could not exist.

It would be interesting to find out from Paul Levitz what he was thinking. One can speculate that he thought that since the Time Trapper had mastery of Time, that if one person in the universe could have a Supergirl statue, it would be him.
Or perhaps this was a way to bring Kara Zor-El back when the time was right.
But it was not to be.
We would wait until 2002 for a version from alternate universe to make a brief appearance and then 2005 for her to fully return.

I had posted this page before but I thought it deserved reposting to finish off this sequence.
