DescriptionI commissioned Colton Worley after seeing a number of his stunning paintings here on CAF. He is no stranger to Symbiote Spidey, so I opted for Colton to draw him again. The end result is an organic take on the symbiote suit set against a dark and rainy backdrop. Great overall tone of the painting and I love the use of textures throughout. Spidey's pose also works here and that hand pulling away from the building is a wonderful little touch. Last but not definitely not least, we get a gargoyle! Is that Bronx up there? Sincere thanks goes out to Colton Worley! Give him a follow on IG! 16”x20” Canvas Social/Sharing |

This is so dark, but it reads so well! I'm guessing my Worley will be a bit brighter.

It's pretty dark 36,000 feet under the ocean. :P

Watch out for those waterspouts. They can be slippery.

You have tremendously awesome results with this character. One can sense Kraven just around the corner, waiting - hunting.

Nice angle, and great use of the dense black shading. Is this a 'Symbiote Spidey Below a Gargoyle (SSBAG)' archetype image? Great job.

Lol! It's a SSBAG if I have ever seen one. Thank you!

Sick!!! Wherever black/symbiote suit Spider-Man is, a gargoyle shall soon follow! Awesome piece with intense atmosphere, lighting (or lack thereof, however you see it - this ain't no ink blot test!), and rain effect. awesome commission result, congrats!

Always cool when the symbiote suit has clawed fingers and some evidence of strain in the mask. The Spider-Man 2 game really leaned into that. Nice to see it here, too!

Moody! I see that figure moving in the dark. Great tension in the hands; the pose is right on

Worley wows yet again! NOT easy to provide this much rendering via paints with such a dark scene. Awesome. Congrats!

The depth of darkness is entrancing like a Rothko. You can get lost in it.

Wow, Colton is phenomenal! I'm so glad folks are flocking to him. This is an epic piece. There are numerous small intricacies, such as the clawed hand and the webbing holding onto the wall. I love how Colton loves an upshot, which is so difficult. Colton captures so much texture, and the rain reinforces that. You can sense the leathery feel of the symbiote. Superb piece, and I'm glad you went big with the 16x20!

Nice and spooky! Spidey looking like the creepy crawler that they wanted originally! Just the hint of the inky symbiote on the wall makes it clear this was a more aggressive Spider-Man!
