DescriptionF8 - Tom drew a beautiful run of issues on the Silver Surfer series and he provides a high level of detail and profound depth in this sketch he did for me in 2004 at a convention in Toronto. This was my first Grummett sketch I ever got, but it is the fourth and last one in my collection, making him the artist from whom I own the most art and I am very happy about that because I have always really enjoyed his work because of how accessible it is, how great a storyteller he is, and how kind he has always been to me when I have met him. It is also the eighth sketch in the front portion of my Surfer sketch book as I continue my 60th anniversary countdown since the Silver Surfer was introduced in Fantastic Four 48.Social/Sharing |

It's a great look that Grummett makes slightly more alien and distant to give Surfer a unique feel compared to any other character.
