Description

Kirk Dilbeck had a nice splash of Mephisto from the front, showing him arriving to answer the prayer of the little girl seen here, Sorana. I meant to approach Kirk about buying it, but I didn�t get around to it before he ended up selling it. This is the page right after that. (Even though it says page 6, it became the first page of the second installment of Sister Sorrow�s origin story, after the five-page opener in the Green Goblin�s Bring on the Bad Guys oneshot.) I like it a lot, and fortunately, I was able to win it at auction.

Sorana�s dad is in trouble with the local magistrate. Mephisto promises to help, but is initially rebuked by Sorana. But since she becomes Sister Sorrow, servant of Mephisto, we know she doesn�t reject him for long.

Still, my favorite part of this entire page is Sorana�s initial reaction of putting up her dukes to pop the devil a good one. The Silver Surfer should take this girl under his wing. Bring on the Bad Guys: Abomination # 1, page 1 of the backup story �Deal with the Devil� (2025).

It's huge image of Mephisto, but she holds her own to actually become the focal point of the page!
