Amazing expressions, and clever use of black areas - clearly confident of how the image would display in production. The composition of the opening panel is just superb. Great page!

So cool! Even with a lot of western titles out there at the time, getting a tryout in Showcase that was mainly for superheroes by then was a rarity. The power of Kubert's clout got it done and he showed more emotion in this story than multiple books in the run.
