Description

Those who know me know that I'm a sucker for any Shuster / Fleischeresque Superman... and here Steve Rude hits it out of the ballpark.

A take on the classic Fleischer cartoon scene where Superman repels a space laser, this is just such a dramatic piece of art showing an illustrator at the height of his powers.

Unbeknownst to me, Rude does a live show where he draws and demonstrates his techniques. I found out about it through a Facebook group, and when I saw that this drawing was available, I snatched it right up.

At 16.5 x 12, it's just so bold and impressive.
