Description

This week's is from someone I thought was dead, possibly the last of the 1950's calendar pin up artists, Jay Scott Pike. His main claim to fame for me was his series of pictures of hot and well-dressed 1950's ladies who inexplicably have their panties down around their ankles.

This piece combines regular pin up technique with a comic book twist because the lady in the halter top and unbuttoned daisy dukes is none other than Dolphin, a character he created in 1968 who dressed just like that except she kept her pants buttoned. The dark lines are her gills, just like a real dolphin has (no wait, dolphins are mammals as is she, hmm).

I recently acquired this from MOP, Pike's exclusive agent.
