Description

This piece features one of my favorites of the old Charlton Comics characters: Peacemaker! Peacemaker was really Christopher Chance, an American diplomat who loved peace so much that he was willing to fight for it! Well, that's what he used to say.

Like most of the Charlton superheroes, Peacemaker was purchased by DC Comics. They then turned the character into a nut that heard his dead father's voice inside his helmet, and then they killed him off. Stupid DC!!

Peacemaker is penciled and inked here by the super-talented Mark D. Bright, who has a long history with both Marvel and DC. He drew IRON MAN for awhile, including the acclaimed ARMOR WARS storyline. He also drew one of my favorite series, ICON, published by Miestone Comics. He also drew QUANTUM AND WOODY for Valiant/Acclaim.

One of the coolest costumes of all time. Sure wish DC could figure out how to do this character right. And, a terrific rendition by Mr. Bright

Love it! I was introduced to Peacemaker during his appearances in Checkmate! back in the '80s.
