Description

The combination of drawing and humor in this Side Glances panel is just wonderful. The piece dates from 9/5/42, and features two cleaning ladies, one of whom has found a chit in the bosses garbage can. As she reads the paper, she exclaims, "You'd think a man in his position would have better sense than to play the horses -- especially the kind of horses he plays!" The figure work and expressions are superb.
