Description

This is the reveal page of Drew Johnson's Wonder Woman from the first issue of his run. As it happened there were no major changes to the costume. The creative team had wanted to go for a more Greek warrior look but DC kicked the idea into touch. Drew also wanted to give Diana a single braid and we can see a strand of hair in panel 1 that he obviously intended to be a braid but he possibly never got editorial buy-in. One of the things about Drew's which is really cool is some of the little details, the hook for Diana's lasso for example. Or the fact that in panel 3 Ferdinands' kitchen table is set on bricks because he's so tall. Also featured in this page is the awestruck Jonah, who had just joined the staff at the Themysciran Embassy. Of course only Rucka would make a reveal page 5 panels, this page should really have been a half-splash at the very least. Great job by Drew and Ray anyway.
