"Mutant Tilley presents another gleeful twist, as Burns reimagines the magazine's monocled mascot as a sinewy demon with a pustulated neck, examining a hovering mosquito while posed against a postapocalyptic wasteland. It is the testament to the power of Burn's vision that the dandy looks every bit as forbidding as the B-movie monsters that surround him."

Believe it or not, the following is a compliment. I sometimes find that Charles Burns art is like a horrific traffic accident in that I want to turn away but I have to look.

Il y a plusieurs belles illustration de Burns sur le CAF, celle ci en fait incontestablement partie. Je la trouve vraiment splendide et très représentative de ce maître du noir et blanc .
