Description

I met John K. when he came through the Disney studio on a tour. We ended up talking for awhile since he had brought his girlfriend with him and I discovered that she and I had gone to CalArts together. While we all talked, he was kind enough to draw this. This was years ago, when the show was still on. I'll never forget HOW he drew it. No sketching, no exploring, he just drew it like he was tracing an image already on the paper. Not the way most animators draw. Weird.

I spent a week with John K when I held a 'Ren & Stimpy' art show in Melbourne, Australia. I watched in awe as JK pencilled (with Sharpies) some of the best sketches I have ever seen. The man's a genius !!!!
