A perfect splash page! In Australia the artwork was also used as a cover.

MANY TIMES J.S. did this, because the splash pages of this Artist was also right for a perfect cover, often much better of the other. Sometimes it was very funny to see them signed J:S:, and more fanny was that some reader believed he was the author (!)
