Description

This was a gift from my pal Chris Ecker, the co-creator of Eb'nn The Raven. Chris was the first comic book artist I ever met in person (back in 1985 at a comic convention held at the Americana-Congress Hotel in downtown Chicago) and I remember thinking how cool it was to meet a real live comic artist. I didn't really know anything about owning original comic art back then, I just loved reading and collecting comic books and was thrilled to have Chris sign my Eb'nn #1 comic. Chris later worked at a Moondog's Comics store near my hometown and we became friends. We lost touch over the years, but have recently reconnected through the magic of the Internet. When we met up in person, Chris brought this unique piece of Eb'nn art history for me as a gift -- the hand-colored color guide to the first issue. The art bug comes full circle.
