Description

Gorgeous splash from the very fine League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Always thought it was one of Moore's most inspired creations and Kev O'Neill's art in person is just exquisite. I was very pleased to discover the pages were also hand lettered. As a huge Alan Moore groupie I had regularly felt the lack of a League piece. Kudos to Dave for hooking me up in a conspicuous way; it's really appreciated.

UPDATE - I've added a pic of the page with Kev's and Alan Moore's signatures. When it came to signing Kev debated about what exactly to sign with and finally decided a pencil would be least obtrusive and wouldn't threaten the artwork itself. Alan meanwhile overlooked the pencil and signed with the marker before we could stop him. Oh well. :o)

What a find! Such a stunning character page, and as is very often the case with Moore's finest collaborations, SO much nuance and storytelling going on in the details! My eye goes to poor Henry Jekyll's stressed face and the bandaged ear which his alter-ego recently earned in battle...

Absolutely iconic and brilliant.
