Description

Painted in 1992 for the cover of "Currents of Space" by Isaac Asimov. Approx size 17 x 24".

Part of a series of three Asimov covers painted by Harris in 1992 for Harper Collins. As far as I can tell, the edition of the novel with this cover painting was never actually released, although the other two books in the series ("Stars like dust" and "Pebbles in the Sky") were published in 1993.

Later used for the cover of "Meet Me at Infinity" by James Tiptree Jr, published by Tor in 2000.

Featured in "Mass: The Art of John Harris" by Ron Tiner, published by Paper Tiger in 2000. Appears in "Fantasy Art Gallery" by Paul Barnett, published by Paper Tiger in 2002.

Featured in "The art of John Harris: Beyond the Horizon" published by Titan Books in 2014.
