Description

So here it is, the beautiful finished product, framed and hanging on the walls of the home. Upon spotting Michael T. Gilbert here as a member on CAF, I knew I wanted something, but wasn't sure what. Then I spotted a piece he did with Paul Chadwick for Amazing Heroes, featuring Mr. Monster & Concrete, and that set the wheels in motion. Having never got to meet Dave Stevens, I wasn't able to thank him for his art that I've enjoyed so much over the years. It's nice when I can get that chance to thank the artists I like that are still here. Many thanks to Michael for going all out on this fantastic piece, producing a cover quality commission featuring his own creation, and the creation of a sorely missed but greatly appreciated talent. Oh, and if you look closely, that's Kelly and Bettie, the respective girlfriends of the main characters of the piece, on the rooftop of the building below!

I like the whimsical nature of Gilbert's Mr. Monster here. I think your luck with commissions are great,as they all seem to come out beautifully. Congrats Ken!!!!

Some of the best commissions make me wish I had thought of that. I wish I had thought about that.
