DescriptionSeen here is the original art for the vintage Star Wars C-3PO and R2-D2 Valentine's Day greeting card box. This is the art that appeared on the front of a box containing Star Wars themed Valentine's Day cards in 1983. I believe the art is actually the same as an earlier C-3PO and R2-D2 greeting card, which has been modified to serve as the box art. I actually have the produced box that featured this art, which honestly was a lot harder to find then the art. :- ) I am not sure of the artist, but given that every other piece of art from Drawing Board cards that I have is by Mary Grace, I will attribute this to her as well. In the off chance that I am wrong and someone out there recognizes the artist of this, please feel free to correct me.As a side note, this art was stolen from my home in a burglary in December of 2020. It spent a few months with the heroin addicts who stole it, and then it turned back up at a local pawn shop in 2021. So, it's had an interesting adventure! So happy to have it back! Social/Sharing |
