Description

Before the show, I had the chance to preview the pages that inker Serge Lapointe would be bringing and I asked him to hold several for me. I chose this incredibly-dense splash page because it captured the moment when the Sentinels came crashing thru the ceiling to arrest Stryfe and members of his Mutant Liberation Front. In the mainstream Marvel Universe, Stryfe was a clone of Cable (sans the techno-organic virus) warped by his upbringing by Apocalypse. His Ultimate version, though, is a confidence man using his mental powers to promote mutant unrest. It was later revealed that he was in the pay of the Fenris twins who wanted to sell Sentinels to the U.S. government. (Bought from Serge Lapointe, Fan Expo Canada, 2009/08).
