DescriptionI honestly thought I would have to spend 2.5 k to get a decent Wonder Woman piece. I found this on eBay, and it is all I need! I get everything......the invisible plane, Magic Lasso, and a giant sea monster!!!! Thanks to Jim Cardillo for letting this go.Social/Sharing |

Colan's run on Wonder Woman was great, and this is a superb splash page! A giant sea monster is so evocative of much earlier Wonder Woman stories, but the angle here is fresh and clever - just spectacular. Great page, and I can't believe that I'm the first to comment on it!

Fantastic Wonder Woman page by the great Gene Colan! This one's truly got it all. Love that it features Wonder Woman's Invisible Robot Plane! Love that Diana is walking on the wing of the plane while it hovers over a ship in the grip of sea monster! Love that Diana is twirling her magic lasso apparently planning to what? Lasso the Kraken and pull it up into the stratosphere? Apparently. So many classic tropes in this one splash page! And who but Gene Colan could pull all those elements together and draw a pretty terrific title page with all of them. Incredible pick-up, congrats!
