Description

The family of Popeye creator Elzie Segar recently auctioned off a number of items from the Segar estate. I only won a couple of items, but this was one. It was a Christmas card to Myrtle Johnson, who would later become his wife. I don't know the exact year Segar gave her this card, but it was probably mid-1910's. He did two self portraits on it.
