Description

When I was sixteen (and a dyed in the wool Marvel zombie) Moebius had a profound impact on widening my comic art perspective. So when I found out that he was going to be a featured guest at the San Diego comic convention that summer, I made a point of being one of the first fans in line. I showed up at where his signing would be three hours early--and still was third in line. When he finally arrived I didn't have the guts to try to speak to him in French (though I had been practicing in my head for the past few hours), but I was able to get out some very excited words of praise--which he accepted warmly and in a very friendly manner. The result was this sketch, which is one of my most cherished that I have collected over the years...
