I thought that this year's Fan Appreciation Day didn't quite measure up to last year's show because of a weaker artist line-up (there were 2 last-minute cancellations), nearly-identical dealer offerings and the lack of any real bargains. It was still worth it, though, because of this baby. Chris Sprouse had always been one of my favorite artists and my hands were the first on his pile of original art. He had some real beauties in there like the alternate cover to "Time Masters: Vanishing Point" No. 1, the cover to a Tom Strong TPB and a Wildcats/Authority DPS. However, this splash with Batman's first appearance in the book was the most iconic and I didn't think twice about buying it. One of the best reactions I got during the show was: "That's it. That's the money shot!" 'Nuff said! (Toronto Comicon Fan Appreciation Day, 06/2010)

Awesome splash: showcases CS's great use of line. I loved his work on Tom Strong..... and he kick started the current Return of Bruce Wayne with style. Thanks for sharing!
