It's not that I think it is the best work by either artist, but there is something about this story and these pages that sing to me. The lightness and the sheer exuberance of action, the boys-will-be-boys aspect of the characters and the dialogue, and (oh, I'm probably off base here) but the near Toth-like simplicity of art (nothing gets in the way and everything is as it should be – oh, how I love the falling pants and shoes in panel four). Not that I could ever afford it, but this is a page that I could retire from collecting on. I could hang it on the wall, sit back and say, "Nope, can't top that."

Truly, if I live to be a hundred years old "plus", never shall I achieve scoring such a "CLASSIC" piece of art. Not only does it display a "CLASSIC" Spidey vs Torch sequence, but it's also penciled and inked by the 'CLASSIC" and rare team-up of Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby. A previous comment mentioned "GRAIL". Well, this word might be overly used upon these galleries every now and then. However, it's a piece of 'HISTORIC" art, such as you have here, where "GRAIL" really says it all. Beyond a doubt, your greatest piece of art yet. 'CONGRATULATIONS ON GREATNESS", Mike!!

Nice. Go check out the last 2 pages in this story - Ditko's Spidey influence comes through (and Kirby's lessens) as seen in Spideys face profile. Goes from Kirby Spidey face (ala ASM 10 cover), to Ditko Spidey face profile (ant like). Interesting ... maybe Ditko had enough of Kirby drawing 'his' character (?)

I am under the impression that this kind of pieces should be kept in a museum, or something similar. This is not just art, but history! Deepest congratulations.

Spidey by Ditko in all 9 panels? It's hard to top this. This drops my jaw to the floor!

Stating the obvious Michael, this piece is priceless....Stan collaborates with two of Marvel's greatest comix artists for a memorable, iconic sequence resulting in the ultimate period piece! Collector's gold!
