Description

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, I used to just go insane for any gaming (RPG or boardgame) that featured artwork from David Dietrick - there was something about his use of color and his design sense that I just couldn't get enough of. I was especially in love with all the covers he did for FASA's STAR TREK: THE ROLE-PLAYING GAME, I thought they just kicked butt all over the place. I finally met David at the World Science Fiction Convention in 1992 and was lucky enough that he was willing to part with this piece - it was a preliminary ship design for FASA's RENEGADE LEGION game; unfortunately this design was never used, but that didn't keep me from snatching this baby up. Mixed media on tan colored illustration board.
