Description

At the 2006 Comic Con, I saw Jeff Zapata in the Topps trading card booth sketching a teriffic Spawn for a young fan using the boy's folder as reference. I asked him for a sketch for myself and he used an image of Ewen MacGregor as Obi Wan from a Topps Promo card they were giving away. From that small card, he made this large drawing (on a comic backing board). He even added the lightsaber in the lower left corner to the image if I'm not mistaken.
After this, I made a point to ask him for a sketch the final 2 years Topps set up there (2007 and 2008) and he didn't disappoint with those either. Check elsewhere in this gallery for those two, a Princess Leia and a Peter Petrelli from the "Heroes" TV show.
Everyone one at Topps who set up at Comic Con over the years were just awesome people, especially Jeff! Thanks for these drawings which I cherish and I hope everything's going well at Topps these days.
