Description

From Alan Moore's classic run on Swamp Thing, "Pog" in issue 32 remains one of my favorite stories. As much as I admire Bissette, Totleben, Veitch, et al. I think McManus was the only one who could have pulled this issue off so successfully.

Lettered by John Costanza right on the board. Like God intended.

Thanks go to Felix Lu for parting with this one.

Please allow me to be the first (of many I'm guessing) to say "Daaaaaaaaamn, but that's good comics!"

Maybe my favorite single issue of any comic ever. Congrats.

WOW! Definetely, definetely the POG issue was one of the greatest moment not just of this series but from the entire decade. I didn't know Pogo when I first read this issue, and my knowledge of Walt Kelly started from there. I believe it was a perfect way to use Kelly's wonderful characters, and a very sad statement about the fact that fantasy can hardly survive in the real world. And I agree with you about the fact that only McManus could have dealt properly with this story. A wonderfully well chosen addition to your beautiful gallery, congrats!

This is such a great and really, really sad page. Love this story. I grew up with Pogo and I thought this was a beautiful adaptation.
