Description

The graphic novel Batman/Houdini: The Devil's Workshop was released in the early 90s, and it rocked my world. Mark Chiarello's painting was PERFECT. Almost 20 years later, I had the honor of meeting Mark at the Baltimore Comic Con in 2010. He graciously agreed to paint me the Batman that appeared in that story. It is 11x14, and a grail piece for me due to its inherent beauty and the GN's importance in luring me back to reading comics. You rule, Mark!

What an awesome convergence of events! Mark really did an outstanding job (re)creating the mood and mystery in this rendtion of Batman. This one's got great visual appeal, Doc! You lucky devil.

As much as I value Chiarello's work behind the scenes at DC, he is sorely missed as an artist. This is gorgeous, kudos.
