Amazing page, Phillip! Early O'Neill Nemesis is some of my very favourite art - fantastic stuff; so many tiny details that make repeated viewings a complete joy. Congrats!

One day I'll nab a Nemesis page, favourite work from my teens, congrats on this fantastic piece!

It could practically be an outtake from that Green Lantern Annual story. If only the toy line that was doing the 2000 A.D. figures years ago hadn't stopped putting them out before they got to Nemesis. I wanted one just because O'Neill said if you did action figures of his characters you would cut yourself every time you touched it because they were all angles.

And it was Andy Helfer (I think) who said he was glad he met Kevin before seeing his art because he would have been terrified. From all accounts he's a puppy dog but that is often how it is with the most messed up artist. Their art is a release for all of the badness which is why this was the perfect strip for him to illustrate.
