DescriptionAnother great splash page by John Prentice from First Love 67. These old romance jobs were incredible. People talk about the stuff that went on in the horror comics? Sex. That is what went on in the romance books. Here is a classic story of a poor girl trying to make good by working in a "gentlemen's club". Look at the pose of the girl and the leering stare from the guy. What would teenage boys rather look at? Ax murderers or girls? Hmmmm.... No wonder the Comics Code lowered the boom on romance comics in the 1950's. Thanks to tje Comics Code, the title of this story was changed from "Bad Girl" to "Orphan Girl". Definitely a change in meaning with the 2 titles.Social/Sharing |

Love these splashes. I prefer this period of Prentice work to his Rip Kirby years.
