Since this was my first experience with Copic markers I was unfamiliar with how to blend the tones. The paper became so saturated, because I was using the Colorless Blender after laying in tones and that tended to leave a blotchy surface so I would use a lighter tone over it all smooth it out. I now find that the Colorless Blender is used before and tones are put down over it while it's still damp to blend. So, I'll be trying that in the future.

Have to tell you this piece took me way too long to finish! Crazy Long! I started it from sketches last summer! Inked it in a few days and then ruined it with pen and ink rendering. So, I started over, made a few changes to the composition then after I'd inked it I let it sit on my drawing board for months just looking at it wondering how to render it (aka Fear Of Ruining It Again!). I'd seen Copic Markers for quite a while but didn't think I'd like them, but after seeing a number of artists using them and reading how well they liked them thought I'd give them a try. And I find they work pretty well!
